Picture Business
National Framing Competition Finalists

We are proud to have been voted as finalists in both the 2008 and 2009 Picture Business Magazine national framing competitions, just missing out on the top spots. The finalists were displayed at the NEC in Europe's largest art trade show, the Spring Fair. Pictured is Geoff with the 2009 entry and below is the joint 2008 entry.

Copper Tree Gallery is owned and run by sister and brother Elaine Langley and Geoff Beckett. The business began life as GTM Crafts at Overton, successfully run by George Mysal who both Elaine and Geoff worked for at different times. At his retirement the business became Farmhouse Framing and moved to the current workshop in 2005. The first gallery area opened in late 2006, and with the planned further expansion to gallery space we have made our final name change to Copper Tree Gallery.

We have over 25 years experience in the picture framing trade, and with our artistic backgrounds and attention to detail, we aim to provide excellent help and advice and the framing quality to match. As members of the Fine Art Trade Guild we always strive to maintain our standards.

Geoff Beckett combines running the gallery with being a published artist. He gained a degree in Maths from York University and spent some time working in business before switching careers. His artwork can be seen at www.geoffbeckett.co.uk and at least a couple of pieces are always on display in the gallery.

Elaine Langley first entered the picture framing industry in 1988. Following marriage and three children she took up the trade again, converting outbuildings on their family farm and laying the foundations of the current business. As well as looking after the gallery and her family Elaine helps with the farming and keeps her own chickens and sheep.
